Day 1: Marrakech – Boumalne Dades

Your 8-day adventure begins after breakfast as we depart from your Marrakech accommodation. Our route takes us over the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka pass, winding through the High Atlas Mountains and revealing breathtaking landscapes.

We’ll stop to explore the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, followed by lunch nearby. Afterwards, we journey towards Ouarzazate, home to renowned film studios – you’ll have the choice to visit them or simply pass by. Continuing through the fragrant Rose Valley (Kelaat M’Gouna), we’ll finally arrive in Boumalne Dades for the evening.

Day 2:  Boumalne Dades – Merzouga Desert

After breakfast, Day 2 takes us towards the magnificent Sahara Desert. Our journey leads us through charming towns and landscapes towards the impressive Todra Gorges, known for their towering canyon walls where we’ll take a short walk. We’ll stop for lunch at a local restaurant en route.

Continuing via Erfoud, the gateway to the desert, we’ll arrive in Merzouga by the afternoon. Here, your camels await to carry you across the stunning Erg Chebbi sand dunes. Witness a breathtaking Saharan sunset, capturing unforgettable photos. You’ll then arrive at your desert camp for a memorable night featuring traditional Berber music under a canopy of stars.

Day 3: Merzouga Desert – Fes

Wake early to witness a stunning desert sunrise over the dunes before enjoying breakfast at the camp. We then depart Merzouga, traveling via Erfoud towards Errachidia. Along the way, we’ll admire the Ziz Valley, a vast oasis dotted with palm groves, stopping for photos at a panoramic viewpoint. Our journey continues to Midelt, renowned for its apple orchards, where we’ll pause for lunch.

Afterwards, we drive through scenic villages towards the cedar forests of Azrou, home to Barbary macaques (monkeys) – we’ll stop briefly to observe them in their natural habitat. We’ll pass through Ifrane, known as ‘Little Switzerland’ for its alpine architecture and cleanliness, and see its stone lion statue before reaching the imperial city of Fes for your overnight stay.

    Day 4: Fes – Chefchaouen

Following breakfast in Fes, our journey continues north towards the captivating ‘Blue City’ of Chefchaouen. We’ll drive through the scenic Rif Mountains, enjoying beautiful landscapes and passing traditional mountain villages. Upon arrival in Chefchaouen in the afternoon, you’ll check into your riad. The rest of the day is yours to explore this charming, easily walkable medina at your own pace. Enjoy getting lost in its unique blue-washed streets before settling in for the night.

    Day 5: Chefchaouen – Tangier

Enjoy breakfast before departing Chefchaouen. Today we drive towards Tangier, traversing the Rif Mountains and passing through small towns and villages. Our first stop is Tetouan, known as the ‘White Dove,’ notable for its Hispano-Moorish architecture and its medina (a UNESCO World Heritage site) located near the Mediterranean. Afterwards, we continue to Tangier, a historically strategic port city on the Strait of Gibraltar, serving as a gateway between Africa and Europe and a major economic hub. Arriving in the afternoon, you’ll check into your hotel and have some free time to begin exploring before your overnight stay.

    Day 6: Tangier – Asilah

After breakfast, we depart Tangier and follow the scenic Atlantic coastal road south to the charming seaside town of Asilah. Known for its well-preserved medina, white-washed buildings adorned with vibrant murals, and annual arts festival, Asilah is a delightful cultural hub. We’ll arrive with ample time to explore its ramparts and artistic streets. After lunch at a local restaurant, you’ll check into your hotel/riad. Enjoy free time in the afternoon, perhaps followed by a pleasant evening stroll through the town before retiring for the night.

    Day 7: Asilah – Rabat

Following breakfast, we continue our journey south along the coast towards Rabat, the capital of Morocco. The drive offers coastal views, and we will stop for lunch en route. Upon arrival in Rabat, located where the Bouregreg River meets the Atlantic, we’ll visit key landmarks that showcase its Islamic and French-colonial heritage. This includes the iconic Hassan Tower, the impressive minaret of an unfinished 12th-century mosque, and the nearby Mausoleum of Mohammed V. Afterwards, we’ll check into your hotel for the overnight stay.

    Day 8: Rabat – Casablanca

On our final morning, we drive from Rabat along the coast to Casablanca, Morocco’s largest city and main economic center. The highlight here is a visit to the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world, dramatically situated overlooking the Atlantic Ocean (exterior visit and interior if timing/schedule permits – requires specific visiting hours and entrance fees). Admire its intricate architecture and grand scale. Following the visit, our 8-day tour from Marrakech concludes. We will transfer you to your designated hotel or the Casablanca airport, marking the end of our services.
